Terms of service
Last updated October 16, 2026
These terms apply to your use of this website and to work carried out by Fort Irwin Water Damage Experts. Calling us or authorizing work means you accept them.
What this website is
This site describes the services we provide and how to reach us. Nothing on it is a quote, a contract, or a guarantee that a particular outcome is achievable at your property. The content is general information about water damage, not an assessment of your specific situation.
Response times
The 60 minutes arrival time quoted on this site is typical for metropolitan areas and is not a guarantee. Actual arrival depends on distance, road and weather conditions, and how many emergencies are active at the time. During a regional flood event, demand can exceed capacity. We will give you an honest arrival window when you call and tell you if it changes.
Scope of work and authorization
Before substantive work begins you will receive a written scope describing what we intend to do. Emergency mitigation — stopping the water, extracting it and setting drying equipment — may begin on your verbal authorization, because waiting for paperwork makes the damage worse. Anything beyond mitigation, including reconstruction, requires your written approval.
Water damage conceals itself. If we open a wall or lift a floor and find significantly more damage than the readings indicated, we will stop, tell you, and agree a revised scope before continuing.
Payment
- Assessing the loss is free. We do not charge a call-out fee to come and look.
- Emergency mitigation is invoiced on completion of the drying phase.
- Where your policy allows it and you authorize it, we bill your carrier directly. You remain responsible for your deductible and for anything your policy does not cover.
- If your carrier denies or reduces a claim, the balance is payable by you.
- Overdue accounts may accrue interest at the maximum rate permitted by California law.
Insurance claims
We document the loss and provide the evidence your adjuster needs. We are not your insurer, we do not adjust claims, and we cannot promise a particular claim outcome. Coverage decisions are made by your carrier under your policy.
What we warrant
We warrant that mitigation work is performed in a workmanlike manner and that the structure met the documented dry standard when we signed off, as shown by the moisture readings in your job file.
We cannot warrant against new water from a source we did not work on, against pre-existing damage or mold present before we arrived, or against damage caused by delay between the loss and your call. Equipment left on site is our property and must not be switched off or moved — drying stops if it is, and we cannot stand behind the result.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our work is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of business, loss of use, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Your responsibilities
- Give us safe access to the property and tell us about known hazards.
- Tell us about asbestos, lead paint or other known contaminants before work starts.
- Keep pets and children clear of work areas and equipment.
- Leave drying equipment running as instructed.
- Move irreplaceable items yourself where you can, before we begin.
Cancellation
You may cancel before a crew is dispatched at no cost. If a crew has already been dispatched and you cancel on their arrival, a call-out charge may apply. Where consumer-protection law gives you a cancellation right for a contract signed at your home, that right applies and is set out in your written scope.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the California courts serving San Bernardino County.
